Baju Bodo Goes International

At IEOP we have a very special weekly program called Community Interaction Class. We go to different site every Monday and they will have us introduce our culture in a presentation. My presentation is about Baju Bodo, a traditional ceremonial sacred (or not) clothing from South Sulawesi, my province.

I'm in Group 5 consisting me, Dwi, Aan, Sandro and Chao. Our team leader is Heidi.

Last time we had our presentation in front of retired adults at Watersford and now we're going to have it at Schilletter University Village Community Care. It's a daycare for children around 1-12 years old (something).

I really enjoy our CIC session today because the children were very excited and were enthusiastic to put the Baju Bodo on. I'll show you their cute looks with the clothing :)
Mindy from Zimbabwe wore it. Sisil said her mom has the Baju Bodo. Mindy was so cute. Patrick knew everything :D
Adrianne :)
This was Alex. He IS a boy, but he begged me to put the Baju Bodo on him since he arrived first to my table. What should I say? He left an impression. When he was wearing the dress, he was walking around the class, saying that it will be new fashion for boys :D I really liked him. He is a cute and smart boy. At the last conversation, he asked us : "is there any certain unique jobs in Indonesia that you couldn't find in US?" a very good question, Alex!
Serenity wore it. Her friends got jealous of her :) sorry kids.

It's hard for me to say goodbye to them. It was so much fun. But life must go on *too hard :'(
